Graduate Student Council

The Computer Science department has a graduate student council, which organizes social events and serves as a way for students to organize. 

First Year Seminars

The department runs a seminar series for first-year graduate students featuring a series of talks by faculty about the graduate program and graduate school in general.

Mentorship Program

The department offers first year graduate students the opportunity to be mentored by a senior graduate student in the department. The program is optional, but is a great way for incoming students to get guidance and advice from students who are more senior in the program. 

Fellowship Opportunities

Students often get outside fellowships to fund their research. The department maintains a list of these fellowships and deadlines to apply.

The Graduate School at Princeton offers a rich assortment of social and professional development opportunities to scholars across dozens of disciplines. And a range of organizational opportunities are available, from politics to social events to intramural athletics.

The University also has an array of services to assist graduate students during their time at Princeton, including health services, housing, and teaching assistance.
