Short Bio
Victoria Dean joined the Princeton faculty in 2025. Her research interests are at the intersection of machine learning and robotics, investigating generalization, benchmarking, and democratization. She teaches across introductory computer science, machine learning, and ethics, and enjoys implementing real-world projects in her courses. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, with an emphasis on improving diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Prior to joining Princeton, Victoria was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Olin College of Engineering. She received her Ph.D. in Robotics from CMU and her B.S. in computer science and engineering from MIT.
Outside of computer science, she dedicates time to campus activism, wealth redistribution, being outside, and experimental baking.
