David Blei named ONR Young Investigator
Professor David Blei of Princeton's Department of Computer Science has been selected as an Office of Naval Research (ONR) Young Investigator, for his research in machine learning. Prof. Blei came to Princeton in 2006 and is well known for his work on topic models.

Prof. Olga Troyanskaya wins Overton Prize
The International Society for Computational Biology has awarded the 2011 Overton Prize to Prof. Olga Troyanskaya of Princeton's Department of Computer Science. The annual prize is awarded for outstanding accomplishment to a scientist in the early to mid stage of his or her career who has made a significant contribution to the field of computational biology.

Martin Suchara wins Best Student Paper
Martin Suchara has won the Best Student Paper Award at the 2011 SIGMETRICS conference. His paper on "Network architecture for joint failure recovery and traffic engineering" was co-authored with Dahai Xu, Robert Doverspike, and David Johnson from AT&T Labs--Research and Jennifer Rexford from Princeton.
