This talk will explore Amazon Prime Air’s drone delivery service, covering the business of drone delivery, the design of Amazon’s delivery drone, and Prime Air’s plans for global expansion. We’ll also discuss the importance of building redundant systems at scale to ensure safety and reliability. Attendees will gain insight into how Amazon is revolutionizing package delivery and tackling the challenges of scaling drone delivery to millions of customers.

Bio: Dr. Landgren is a system designer, software manager, and engineer for Amazon’s Prime Air drone delivery service. His core focus is on designing and implementing software to reliably automate the delivery process at scale. He graduated from Princeton with a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and has worked at Amazon since.
