Four Princeton students honored by Computing Research Association

Princeton CS seniors Lavanya Jose, Rebecca Pottenger, Faaez Ul Haq, and Zhihong Xu have been recognized for their research accomplishments by the Computing Research Association. Jose was named a Runner-up for the 2011 CRA Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher award, for her research in efficient packet-streaming algorithms for measuring Internet traffic. Pottenger was named a Finalist, for her work in unsupervised learning under the lens of differential privacy and for work on applying machine learning to analyzing medical data. Ul Haq received Honorable Mention for his work in an anticorruption app for the developing world, and Xu received Honorable Mention for his work on 3D visualization.
