3) Currently scheduled review sessions for final exam:

12/22/98 The solutions for Problem Set 9 are now on-line. Graded Problem Set 9 papers are in the returns box on the second floor of the Computer Science Building.
Graded Problem Set 8 papers were handed back in class and can also be found now in the returns box.

12/5/98 The solutions for Problem Set 8 are now on-line.

12/4/98 Extra office hrs today in preparation for in-class test Monday:

12/2/98 The final exam given in the fall of 1997 is now available. Questions 4 through 8 and 11 are on material to be covered in the upcoming second in-class test this year. Also, question 5 on last fall's midterm exam is on material covered in the upcoming exam.

12/2/98 Graded Problem Set 7 submissions are now in a box on the second floor of the Computer Science Building, next to the homework submission box for COS 111. The solutions for Problem Set 7 are now on-line.

11/25/98 Professor LaPaugh's office hours next Monday (11/30) will be from 4-5pm rather than 3-4pm. This change is only for next Monday.

11/25/98 Graded Problem Set 6 submissions were handed back in class today and are now in a box on the second floor of the Computer Science Building, next to the homework submission box for COS 111. The solutions for Problem Set 6 are now on-line.

11/25/98 Graded Problem Set 5 submissions were handed back in class Monday (11/23/98) and are now in a box on the second floor of the Computer Science Building, next to the homework submission box for COS 111. The solutions for Problem Set 5 are now on-line.

10/28/98 The first exam and solutions are now online.

10/23/98 Grades for Problem Set 4 were obtained by subtracting points for errors from a maximum score of 10. However, that maximum score should have been 12. Therefore, to get your correct score on Problem Set 4, add two points and make it out of 12 points maximum (excluding extra credit). For example, if you have 4/10 on your paper, it becomes 6/12 -- slightly better percentage-wise.

10/23/98 Graded Problem Set 3 and 4 submissions were handed back in class today and are now in a box on the second floor of the Computer Science Building, next to the homework submission box for COS 111. The solutions for Problem Set 4 are now on-line.

10/22/98 The solutions for Problem Set 3 are now on-line.

10/21/98 Special office hours for questions before the exam:

10/21/98 First in-class test is MONDAY 10/26. You can see last year's midterm exam and solutions. Note that last year there was only one in-class exam in the course and it covered more material than our first exam this year. Only problems 1 - 4 (out of 5) on last year's midterm are on material to be coverd on the first exam this year.

10/16/98 Graded Problem Set 2 submissions were handed back in class today and are now in a box on the second floor of the Computer Science Building, next to the homework submission box for COS 111. The few that I was missing are there too. The solutions for Problem Set 2 are now on-line.

10/15/98 14:39 Added to the instructions for Problem Set 4: For Brookshear Problem 5, pg. 84, assume the machine has a subtraction instruction, unlike Brookshear's machine of Appendix C.

10/7/98 Graded Problem Set 1 submissions were handed back in class today and are now in a box on the second floor of the Computer Science Building, next to the homework submission box for COS 111.

10/6/98 The solutions for Problem Set 1 are now on-line.

10/5/98: Check the versions of Web material you are using! Part 3 of the first lab gave last spring's URL for the course home page by mistake. Please make sure you have this fall's course pages, especially this fall's problem sets and versions of the labs. You can check this by making sure you are looking at pages at location http://www.cs.princeton.edu/courses/archive/fall98/cs111/...
