Network Checkers
(Andy Chung and Peter Orr. Advisor, Kevin)
Our project is a network checkers game. It allows two people to play a game of checkers over the Internet. The Checker applets connect through a server which is a Java application. The server needs to be running for the applets to function properly.

Racetrack Game (Corinne Nathan and Juvaria Aumeerally. Advisor, Spyros)
A racetrack simulation game. One player steers and accelerates their car around an oval racetrack using the keyboard, hopefully avoiding a crash.

Juggling Simulator (Jacob Weiss. Advisor, Kevin):
This java applet allows the user to enter a pattern in basic Siteswap notation or select one from several sample patterns. The program can "juggle" all ground state and excited state patterns and allows the user to customize the display by changing the speed, ballsize, and trails.

Image Compression (Jon Sapan. Advisor, Sanjeev)
The project implements two different forms of data compression: Huffman encoding and run-length encoding. Both play a major role in the JPEG image compression algorithm.

Architecture (Janice Dru. Advisor, Sanjeev)
JadeRutaDraw is an MDI graphics application created with Microsoft Visual C++ Foundation Classes. The program includes a three dimensional view and a bird's eye-scrolling view scaled to the size of an architectural plot, allowing the creation of a structure (or structures) and view it's properties based on user input.

Network Card Game (Paul Simbi and Bismarck Paliz. Advisor, Nick)
An implementation of the "classic" card game asshole. The game can be played by four players over the network.

Pricebot (Amaya Capellan and Awilda Rodriguez. Advisor, Lisa)
A Java application that makes Web queries to determine the best price for a given book from an online bookseller.
