About

Hi. I'm Stephen Soltesz, a PhD candidate in the Princeton Computer Science department. My research focuses on operation of large, distributed infrastructures and services. I'm advised by Larry Peterson

I love hands-on, system building and discovering the governing principles that make complex systems sustainable. My undergraduate background is in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Combining this background with my current research, I have worked on systems at many different scales: discrete transistor amplifiers, integrated circuits, embedded systems, operating systems, and global scale systems. Everything, from atoms to clouds.
