Project based classes will be offered as an Introduction to Web Development.

First, we'll concentrate on deploying building personal webpages with Bootstrap and Github pages. Next, we'll move onto HTML/CSS/front-end JavaScript and frameworks such as jQuery and Angular.js. Finally, we'll conclude with creating web-servers with Node.js and possibly Django.

We'll start with the basics and quickly accelerate into more in-depth topics. If you stick with it for the duration of the class, you should have all the skills you need to build a simple web-app, and much more importantly, you will have a solid grasp of how to integrate different web technologies together and where to go to learn more application-specific knowledge.

Technical Topics:

We are also considering a number of other topics for additional series of classes after Spring break, including mobile development, web-scraping and automation and machine learning. If you are interested in any of these or have your own ideas for classes that you'd like to see, also fill out this form and let us know!
