The lab was well done, and people found some really interesting things about privacy (or lack thereof) for themselves, friends, and family members. I hope that everyone follows through on the good intentions of using more tools like AdBlock, Ghostery, etc.

On that note, quite a few people observed how quickly cookies re-appeared after they had been deleted during the lecture on the topic. One person reported 8,000 cookies [sic], and others said there were too many to count. The secret is to not let them in at all, with blockers like Ghostery, AdBlock, etc., and to use incognito / private mode browsing for most browsing; at least that way, cookies go away when the tab or window is closed.

10minutemail and Yopmail seemed equally popular, albeit for different reasons. To answer a question from one person, I think it's good to know about these services when some site asks for an email address and you don't want to provide your own.

Several people noted that the link I provided led to a "pay money to get Ghostery" site. I should have made it clear that you can use the Ghostery extension in a browser for free; my apologies.

Thanks for suggestions for improvement, most often for clarification of some section. And maybe more depth, less breadth, would be helpful, more of a "choose your own adventure" style. A couple of people mentioned the environmentally-themed Ecosia search engine (ecosia.org); I'll add it to the list for next year.

Finally, there did seem to be a common theme of "I didn't realize how much tracking goes on." Raising that awaremess was the intended message.
