Elevator Pitch

Where are you? Presumably, you know where you are now. But what about yesterday? Last week? Or during that one month when you tried to take as many classes as imaginable until you realised that you could only really be in one place at a time?

To answer all of these existential questions, we are developing the Princeton Campus Heat Map iPhone app. It analyzes and helps you visualize your location (and that of your friends!) over time. Open the app, and it immediately displays a Personal Heat Map highlighting your favourite, or at least most frequently visited, places on campus, to enable you to make educated decisions about your location--where to live next year, whether or not to purchase a bike. Switch to the Social Heat Map, and find out what the most popular spots are right now: whether there are more students at the football game or the COS lecture, whether Tower or Terrace is more populated at 2am.

Other similar apps will track your locations via Foursquare Check-ins, or will merely track the movement of your finger on your iPhone screen. Download our Princeton Campus Heat Map app, learn about your location patterns, and use this knowledge to optimize your life.
