At the time of this writing, the sniffle system is configured in such a way that the low four bits of the server's digital output control a pair of stepper motors which pan and tilt a digital camera. Although strictly speaking the camera platform controller is not an integral part of sniffle, it is expected to be used extensively with many applications of the sniffle system and therefore deserves mention here.
The pan-tilt control panel is at URL http://piper.princeton.edu/webrti/pantilt.htm. It provides a simple and self-explanatory interface to the pan-and-tilt platform which controls the orientation of the digital camera used to provide video feedback to the client. Clicking on the small arrows of the control panel will rotate the camera roughly five degrees; the big outer arrows cause fifteen degrees of rotation.
