Note: I've taken a break from grad school starting in July 2011. I'm currently working full time as a writer, primarily at Ars Technica and Forbes.
Until I went on leave, I was a PhD candidate in computer science at Princeton University, having received my master's degree in 2010. I'm interested in technology, public policy, and the intersection of the two. My advisor is Ed Felten. Ed is the director of Princeton's recently-launched Center for IT Policy. I shared a lab with Harlan Yu, Ari Feldman, Joe Calandrino, Will Clarkson, Josh Kroll, and Ian Davey. I'm a co-creator of RECAP. My research focused on the application of machine learning techniques to the privacy of court documents.
I can be found on Facebook and Twitter. You can learn more about me on my personal website, or email me at contact@timothyblee.com.
