History

I was born on October 12th '73 in Calcutta, India. I grew up in Calcutta and I lived there till I was nearly 18. During most of this time (14 years!!) I attended La Martinere for Boys (yes, it was/is an all male school) . I lived right in the heart of Calcutta, which is a city I love, though I have to admit it has its fair share of problems.

Then in the summer of '92 I joined Bates College (Lewiston, Maine. USA). I was an International student at Bates college from '92-'95. I graduated on June 5th '95 with a B.S. in Math and Physics (I also managed to squeeze in a secondary-concentration/minor in Computer Science). Bates was a lot of fun and probably the most fun “educational” years I will ever have.

After Bates I moved to Princeton, New Jersey and managed to claim a Master of Arts (in Computer Science) degree at Princeton University in summer of '97. Presently I pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science here at Princeton. I hope to be done by the end of summer 2001.
