Worked as a model maker foreman in terra cotta until 1934, when he got a menial job in a shipyard. Moved to Balt Anchor where he maintained equipment until he was made to retire at 69.

Arrested and stripped of preferments when Edward IV died. Exile at Frankfurt Germany from 5/??/1554 to ascension of Elizabeth. Bishop of Ely on 1559-1580. Refused to minister to Queen Elizabeth due to crucifix in Royal chapel.
