Programming Contests

The ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest

I participated in the 2001 World Finals of the ACM contest, in Vancouver, Canada, representing the Institute of Computing - UNICAMP.
Here are some pictures.
We got the 29th place among more than 2700 teams competing all over the world. Click here for the contest's homepage.

I've also been taking part on the South American Regionals of the ACM contest since 1997. These are my standings:

* In the 2001 ACM South American Regional we had again problems regarding the contest organization, as you can check here. But at this time, things went far from acceptable. This was an example of how the lack of responsibility and aptitude can turn such an interesting event into something so disgusting an unfair. During all the time I have competed in computing competitions, I had never seen someting like this, and that's why I'm registering my indignation here, in hope that one day the ACM South American Regional will be a fair and enjoyable competition.

Brazilian Programming Olympiads through the Internet (OPI)

I competed in the OPI'1999, and I got the 1st place in the professional category.
The OPI'1999 was organized by the Institute of Computing, UNICAMP.
