December 2004/April 2005 The Poem on a Page As if my search came to an end, All questions asked, And answered. As if the strings of dark space Shimmered, if only for a moment. As if I looked within And, for once, Saw me. The poem on a page. Short, quiet, On a large sheet. Read, if you must, By the candle you bring. Listen to the silence And colour the vacuum. Behold the beauty, Sense the meaning. From no thread of reason Hangs, silent, alive, The poem on a page. Just another clear page.
