I'll throw up a few more sentences of explanation soon. For now, the pictures speak (almost) for themselves. The displays are model SP400 made by Lascar Electronics purchased from Allied Electronics, the toggle switch for the heated grips is from Fred, the BMW socket from a John Deere dealer, the aluminum stock (1.5x1.5x?") and two mounting brackets from Ace Hardware. Don't forget to paint with primer first!

4/8/2003   After having the dash for almost a year, I should note that I'm not thrilled with the Lascar display—very cold and very hot weather seem to make some LCD segments disappear; I think an LED display might be more robust and it would be visible in the dark. Also, careful waterproofing is important. My first attempt didn't fare well in day-long showers (though it was fine once it dried).
