Junwen Lai

I was a graduate student of the computer science department, advised by Randy Wang and Kai Li. My research interests included distributed storage systems and distributed file systems. My thesis was on NFS virtualization.

I am currently working for D. E. Shaw & Co. on quantitative trading systems and trading algorithms.

Prior to that, I worked for Microsoft on cloud computing platform and search engine.

Prior to that, I interned at ICIR on Internet congestion control, HP Labs on distributed storage virtualization and IBM Research on cluster based video streaming system.
