Internships with Sun Microsystems
From September to December 2005, and from June to August 2006, I worked as an intern at Sun Microsystems Research Laboratories in Burlington, Massachusetts. As a member of the Search Inside the Music Project, led by Paul Lamere, I investigated means of optimizing a content-based music similarity playlist generation and visualization system, as well as audio fingerprinting algorithms.

Assistantships in Music Technology
:: In Spring/Summer 2005, I worked on issues of distributed computing and classification for the ACE project. Specifically, I investigated approaches feature selection/weighting and classification, using D2K as a platform to carry out my work in parallel.
:: In Winter 2006, I assisted Dr. Stephen McAdams in preparing teaching materials for an undergraduate course on music perception and cognition.
