It was my birthday, so I decided to take the day off and go with Suzanne
to the old section of Jaffa

who still lives in the harbor
and still more people and legends
including also Napoleon
who was nice enough to pose with Suzanne
and a curse.
Maybe they came for the wonderful view of Tel Aviv
or to see the Turkish clock tower
or to go to the bakery
where people line up 5 deep to get take away pastries and lunch.
Let's hope that they don't go there for the
Flea Market which isn't very good.
Later, we went out for a family dinner to celebrate my birthday.
Everyone looked good
You can hardly tell that Benjamin's
clothes were all wet
because I
managed to spill lemonade all over him.
Benjamin insisted that we tell the waiter
that it was my birthday. He was kind enough
to put sparklers on our desserts
and to take a group photo.
And now I am a year (or is it 4 years?) older.
