One days walk from Kingston to Griggstown Lock was not enough, so we decided to continue on Friday starting from Griggstown Lock
and following the trail north
until we came to the first Spillover sign
and mile marker
seen from both sides
as I trailed Suzanne and Jane
and then got ahead of them

with documentation
and then a blockage in the road that reminded us of the acacia branches for lions

after which we followed trail

before I came across the ducks on the pond
and then marched on
and took the first reflection picture
as we came across yet another mile marker (sign of progress)
and then took many artistic photos of the scenery (where sometimes you wonder if the camera was upside down because the reflection was so good)

and acknowledge our progress
with a few more photos
as Suzanne appeared
and we recorded the road signage
and the mill's canal house
with all of its signage
and schedule
before starting back on the trail
and recording mile markers
and the canal
and trail
as yet another mile marker
and then the trail obstruction

as we recorded the spill over spot
while crossing the stone path
to another mile marker
and then Jane and Suzanne
spotted this snake in the middle of the road
as we made our way back to the Griggstown Causeway
and recorded the house
the bridge
the historic village
and house once more
before reading the interesting story about the millstones
two of which were still there
and then it was back to the trail
and the final mile marker
before we got to the end of the line

as we read the warnings
and revisited the map that had started us on today's trail.
On the way back, we stopped in Kingston, parked by Charlie Brown's
and made our way past the shop
with this interesting sign
into Main Street
where we got various foods
including the potato salad (ideal for breakfast)
and soup
as Suzanne
and Jane enjoyed the meal
and I worried about my sun glasses which seem to fall off often.
On our way home, we picked Ben up at school but had to wait for this crossing guard. We're ready to attack the trail again and make our way fully from the D to the R.
