The day had finally come after 12 long years (or maybe more) and it was Jane's graduation. The first people I ran into were Carolyn Williams and her nephew who seemed like a very impressive gentleman with his degrees and current job.
Next I saw Chris Hagadorn, so I seemed to be making the proper rounds of Jane's friend's parents
and then I saw Phil Nord but didn't get a good picture
even as Casey approached all excited about the Thunder game the night before
and the seats were there
as the stage was set
the cameraman was ready
and the balloons of celebration were in place
none of which excited Ben who was feeling the heat
while I took these self portraits
and then saw Kim and Norma arrive and take their space under the tree
as the stage people began to assemble
as did the non-seniors in around 8
and the photographing parents
would allow an occasional glimpse of the entering seniors
before rising again
even as the graduates turned the corner
and the assembled got prepared to watch
as Suzanne
watched pierce take the stage
and then Around 8 did its thing (but no national anthem)
before Jane returned to her seat
and I was left to admire the list of graduates (with Jane's *)
and the planned program
before Judith Wilson got ready for the graduates
and after a few test pictures
Jane got her degree
and began the march off stage
into the row
and back to her seat
and then happily marched away from the graduation degree in hand.

and then took some artistic (ie botched) photos
before finding Adele and Chris
and then taking the obligatory pictures of Jane
Jane and John
and then Jane again in cap and gown
before Jane headed off to get her actual diploma

Next, Sarah turned her expertise to bubble pictures

after which Jane emerged with her diploma
and posed with it so that we would know it was her and her degree.
On the way out, we ran into Fred and Rosie

and John Huang and Sarah posed as if it were 4 years ago
before I met Peter Roame
and then we found Norma
and Jane greeted her
as Suzanne

This led us to Mediterra where Jane met Lucy
and I saw Michael
before we took pictures of the McKeon-Williams family
and headed into the darkness
to get our mediterranean messo
and breads
my apple martini
and salad
and our main courses

for which I achieved the clean plate club
which amused Sarah
and caused Ben to do his victory salute
as Kim

and Jane and I fit into this self portrait
before Jane did weird faces
