It was a nice Sunday night in June and Danielle had assembled all of her students for a last concert, so we brought the chocolate covered strawberries
and Suzanne brought flowers
and we headed in to hear the first pianist
the first soloist
and her accompanist
and then a few piano duets

and was awarded a certificate from Danielle for having completed the appropriate courses.
As Danielle departed the stage
there were numerous piano players
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
||||
as the music continued
Suzanne was driven to boredom
Ben was driven to grave concern
and I was driven to self portraiture
But, our efforts were rewarded when Jane appeared and hit her notes (for many many pictures)

and after a few more notes
we saluted Danielle
presented flowers to Jane
and took the requisite pictures of Jane and Suzanne
Jane, Suzanne and me
Fred and Jane
Fred, Lucy and Jane
Fred, Lucy Jane and John
Jane and Becca
Fred, Jane and Becca
Fred, Jane, Becca and Danielle
and then as Jane dealt with the food
Ben emerged
and posed with Suzanne
before Jane posed with Danielle and Michael
and then Jane said a warm thank you to Danielle and we called it a day (and a year and a career).
