It was a record breaking snow. At least for NYC where they got 25". In Princeton there were only about 15" but this was the view when I opened the door
and across the driveway
before I began to clear a path
towards the end of the driveway
and then Suzanne gave me salt for the steps
while Jane
helped with the finishing touches
so that Ben was bundled
and ready to go on the freshly cleaned steps
with his sled
after we had expressed our concern about Jane's injured finger
So we walked the cleared path to the street and looked towards Nassau Street
before Ben began the trek in the other direction

where Ben paused
at the stop sign
before we headed up the street
past John Shea's dug out car
and up the shoveled path to Adam
where his salt spreader was at the ready
and Nate
and Ben
considered the salt spreader
before joining Hannah
to make the trip to go sledding.
On my way back, I ran into Paul Dimaggio who was shoveling
as I headed up Hibben Road in the snow
until I got home.
Later I went past the car
which wasn't going on the street
and watched as Suzanne came down the driveway
so that we could walk into town where we saw this artistic parking meter int eh snow
Later in the week, we prepared for a lunch for some librarians
and so I dined with Lin Ferrand, Bobray Bordelon, Yasuko Makino, Paul Needham, Rachel Simon and Paula Matthews
