I won a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1988-89.

I work on the interface between computational geometry and computer graphics . My interests include the development of theoretical models and algorithms for problems of computer graphics and other fields which are geometric in nature. I'm also involved in the implementation of geometric algorithms and the development of tools to make the development and animation of such algorithms easier.

I am or have been on the editorial boards of

I've been a consultant or visitor at various research labs including Bellcore, Bell Labs, ATT Research XEROX PARC, and DEC SRC.

I've been involved with the NSF Science and Technology Centers, DIMACS where I was a member of the Executive Council and the Geometry Center where I chaired the the Board of Governors.
