Chinese has the tradition of recording biological genealogy. The Wu Family book records my ancestors back to about 3100 years ago (1100 B.C.) accurately! Inaccurately and incompletely, it can be traced back to about 6000 years ago (4000 B.C.). The information recorded in the book includes date (and time!) and place of birth and death, and sometimes detailed biographies. The Wu Family book matches the classic Chinese history books precisely in the case that both record the information about the same persons. I am planning to put this online. Details coming soon...
