Answers to frequently asked questions from prospective graduate students and interns

I think Princeton is a very exciting place to do research in computer science and theoretical computer science and hope that you will consider it. Here are answers to some frequently asked questions.

  1. Students are admitted to the graduate program, and not to research groups of individual faculty members. Sending emails to individual faculty members does not help your application. If you are interested in working with me, I encourage you to mention this in your application.

  2. It is impossible for me to evaluate your chances for admission except by looking at your complete application. A general guideline is that we usually only admit students who are at or close to the top of their class in terms of academic strength and research potential.

  3. Our Masters' program is small and there is very little financial support.

  4. All admitted Ph.D. students get full financial support.

  5. I DO NOT HAVE ANY INTERNSHIPS FOR UNDERGRADUATES FROM FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES.
