 | During our rainy June 2009 in Princeton, I found this 9-inch-tall mushroom growing by the sidewalk along Prospect Street, just around the corner from my house. It appears to be an Amanita muscaria: "Although generally considered poisonous, deaths are extremely rare .... However, Amanita muscaria is now primarily famed for its hallucinogenic properties...."
