Opportunities at Princeton
There are various opportunities for visiting Princeton's Theory Group, for both students
and junior and senior researchers.
- Click here for information on the Theoretical CS Ph.D program at Princeton
- We have funding for up to two postdoctoral positions that involve research and no teaching. If interested, please send your CV and list of references by January 15, 2008 to theory@lists.cs.princeton.edu (please include the string "[postdoc]" in your subject line). The following are some other possibilities:
- A two-year postdoctoral researcher position joint with the Institute for Advanced Study - one year at Princeton and one year at IAS. If you are interested, please indicate this in your IAS application and also cc your application to the above address.
- A teaching postdoctoral position at Princeton University that is typically a 3-year position, requiring teaching at most one 12-week course per year (could be co-taught with a Princeton faculty member). This position is appropriate for fresh PhDs who wish to combine research with some teaching. Details and deadlines are at: http://www.princeton.edu/~stcweb/ . If you are interested in this position please email the above address and also contact the faculty member closest to your research and teaching interests. Please do so in advance of the December 1st deadline, as some details need to be worked out.
- We have funding for partial or full support of sabbatical visitors from other universities. If interested, please contact a theory group faculty member.
- Princeton has a graduate student exchange program with about 10 other institutions, whereby a grad student from these institutions can spend a term or more in Princeton without paying any additional tuition. It may also be possible to work out visit/exchanges with students from other institutions on an individual basis. If you are interested in having your students participate, please contact a theory group faculty member. (We prefer to be contacted by the advisor and not directly by the students.)
Princeton University is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
