Create an Image to be Shown on the Display Wall

This page explains how to make an image for the Display Wall using a cluster computer and Adobe Photoshop.

1. what the display wall requires

A. The large screen in the student center accepts images of the following type:

             1.JPEG format
             2.dimensions of 5900 (width) by 2900 (height)
             3."baseline (standard)" - (this is a Photoshop save option)
             4. RGB color
 
 

2. at a Windows NT cluster computer

A. click on the Start menu
B. go to "Cluster Applications"
C. click on Adobe Photoshop

3. in Photoshop

A. create a new document (File>New)
set background at black or desired color and Canvas Size options at 5900 wide by 2900 high, as pictured below:

B. design your image; for help using Photoshop consult the Help menu

3. saving your file in the proper format

A. when finished select Save a Copy  (File>Save a Copy)
B. save your image on the Desktop with the settings shown below:

C. choose the following JPEG options (be sure they are exactly as shown below) when the screen appears:
