Prof. Rexford named recipient of 2017 Harrold and Notkin Research and Graduate Mentoring Award

The National Center for Women and  Information Technology (NCWIT) has named Professor Jennifer Rexford the recipient of the 2017 Harrold and Notkin Research and Graduate Mentoring Award.  Named for Prof. Mary Jean Harrold from Georgia Tech and Prof. David Notkin from University of Washington, this national award recognizes faculty who this award recognizes faculty who combine outstanding research accomplishments with excellence in graduate mentoring as well as those who advocate for recruiting, encouraging, and promoting women and minorities in computing fields.  Rexford embodies the spirit of this award through her outstanding research on software-defined networks, as well as her dedicated mentoring of her graduate students and research collaborators.  NCWIT is a non-profit community that unites organizations who help increase the meaningful participation of women in the computing field.
