Department Wins HP/Intel Systems Grant

Six 1-way and three 2-way workstations, and one 4-way server were granted to 3 different groups in the CS Department. Princeton was one of 40 Universities world-wide that were awarded machines, which are part of the HP/Intel's Itanium Processor Family.

Congratulations to Emil Praun, who has been awarded the Wallace Memorial Fellowship in Engineering for the 2001-02 academic year.

This award is one of the university honorific fellowships given each year by the Graduate School to students in their final year of graduate work. The honorific fellowships recognize outstanding performance and professional promise and represent high commendation from the Graduate School.

A memorial fund has been established in honor of Cheng Liao to help his parents with their expenses in the U.S. and to assist with his funeral back in China. Contributions are welcome from both individuals and organizations. Please click here to learn more.

Service for Cheng Liao
A funeral (viewing) and memorial service have been scheduled for Cheng Liao. Your presence at either or both services is appreciated by the family.

The viewing will be Friday January 12, at Cole Funeral Home, 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, NJ. Calling hours will be between 5 and 8 PM; you may come any time during this period.

The memorial service will be Saturday January 13, from 11AM-1PM in the Princeton University Chapel.

Immediately following the service, from 1-3PM, there will be a reception at the Computer Science Building, first floor. Please use the entrance facing Mudd Library, away from the construction area.
