Grad Student Wins Best Student Paper Award

Sina Jafarpour has won the Best Student Paper Award at the 2009 Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers. His paper
"Performance bounds for Expander-based Compressed Sensing in the
presence of Poisson Noise," was co-authored with Rebecca Willett and
Maxim Raginsky from Duke University, and with Robert Calderbank.
Sina is co-advised by Robert Schapire.
