Ed Felten has been appointed as director of The Center for Information Technology Policy.

Forging ties between technologists and public policy experts, Princeton is creating a research center to address societal issues, such as privacy and security. The Center for Information Technology Policy will bring leading computer scientists and engineers together with economists, sociologists, lawyers and lawmakers to issue recommendations on topics ranging from ensuring the privacy of medical records to creating fair regulations for Internet phone services.
