Win 2006 ICMC Distinguished Paper Award
Congrats to Ananya Misra, Ge Wang, and Perry Cook for winning the 2006 International Computer Music Conference Distinguished Paper Award, sponsored by the Journal of New Music Research. The award, and paper entitled, "Musical Tapestry: Re-Composing Natural Sounds" will be presented at the ICMC in New Orleans this November.
The award-winning TAPESTREA software was also used by Ge Wang, with co-composers Misra and Cook to create a musical composition, "Loom (Etude II pour un enfant seul)," which will be presented on an ICMC 2006 concert.
