SSDAlloc Memory expansion technology commercialized

Graduate student Anirudh Badam and Professor Vivek Pai have been working on exploiting solid-state disk (SSD) to expand the addressable memory that programs can use; they developed a hybrid memory allocator called SSDAlloc.
