- Figure A(1) is a screen shot of the web interface of the image similarity search system constructed using Ferret toolkit. It shows the result of an attribute-based search by choosing ``Corel'' image collection and typing in ``dog'' as a keyword.
- Figure A(2) is a screen shot of the result of a similarity search by choosing the second dog photo in the top row of the attribute-based search results in the figure A above.
- Figure B is a screen shot of the web interface of the audio similarity search system constructed with the Ferret toolkit. Each row shows a similar audio file, a link to listen to the audio file, transcribed text, as well as the curves of its first three MFCC parameters.
- Figure C is screen shot of the web interface of the 3D shape similarity search system constructed by using the Ferret toolkit. It shows the query results of the first model (shown in yellow). Each result includes name of the model file, and its distance to the query model.
- Figure D is a screen shot of the web interface of the Genomic similarity search tool constructed with the Ferret toolkit. Each row shows one similar gene, its gene/ORF names, link to the gene's information, its distance to the query gene, and its colored expression visualization. The figure shows the results of searching gene YHL011C.
