BOOK WRITE-UPS

Required reading list. Students will be required to create a write-up for each book on the required reading list.

Write-ups. In your book write-ups we want you to describe an idea that is novel to you, and which you would want to implement in your own startup. Also, we want you to describe a novel idea that you would not implement in your own start up. Your write-ups should be about 500 words; we are not looking for War and Peace. We prefer that write-ups be PDFs.

Writeups will be graded on four metrics:

Crisp writing

To the point, corporate executive summary style writing is encouraged; don't caveat too much or try to be polite or complete

Creativity

Thinking out of the box, coming up with interesting, original solutions and ideas and non-textbook points of view

Domain knowledge

Demonstrating deep understanding of technical and non-technical issues; researching on the Web to acquire knowledge is strongly encouraged

Language

Good writing in general
