Go into pine. 
Press 'S' for setup.
Press 'C' for configure.
Set nntp-server to news.princeton.edu
Press E to exit setup
Get back to the main menu
Press L for folder list.
Select News on news.princeton.edu
Press A to Add
Enter pu.cs.217
From this point on pu.cs.217 should be Available as a folder.
