The goal of this course is to connect theory to real-world auctions. Basic
results will be derived and tested, in class and by observing commercial
Internet auctions. Topics include: Vickrey auctions, revenue equivalence,
optimal auctions, multiple-unit auctions, mechanism design, current Internet
auctions, modeling auction behavior, agent-based simulation.
