Download DirectionsThe Visualizer is not yet complete, but you can access the project source files and other links @ Princeton CS Wiki. This includes the Animator and the actual Visualizer. Download the +Stronger Visualizer for your platform (Windows/OSX). Download the JOGL* for your platform and extract the file into the same directory as the jar file for the visualizer. Double click and enjoy! Thanks! JOGL Download * - We cannot distribute the JOGL files with our program due to licensing issues. |

To use the animator, in Visualizer.java, change the creation of GLStuff object to create the GLStuffAnimator object. Also, in Translate.java, the lines that try to run Play.js does not work. Updated code isn't there, but it won't work on you computer anyways, so comment that out or delete it. It's in the constructor.
The +STRONGER Visualizer is unique in that it attempts to generate interesting visuals that resonate with the beat, as opposed to fading in and out with the music. Second, rather than making patterns, our visual is a character that dances.
Right now, you can pick from either the ROBOT or MARVIN (modeled after the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy character). More characters may become available. Also, more backgrounds and more sophisticated animations may come with time.
The +STRONGER Visualizer is coded primarily with Java and JOGL (Java Implementation of Open GL). JScript and AppleScript are used to connect with iTunes. Source files are available with JOGL downloads and the Visualizer on the left.
Lalithra Fernando and Amy Seymour would like to thank Rebecca Fiebrink and Ge Wang, as well as the Summer Programming Experience run by Kevin Wayne, for all their help in getting this done in 5 weeks.

You can choose to have either the ROBOT or MARVIN dance on your screen!
