Sunghwan Ihm

Sunghwan Ihm completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Princeton University, where he worked with Prof. Vivek S. Pai. He is interested broadly in the areas of distributed systems and networks, and his dissertation work focused on understanding and improving modern Web traffic caching. He joined Google in October, 2011. During his Ph.D. study, he had internships at Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs and Intel Labs Berkeley. Before joining the Ph.D. program at Princeton, he worked as a software engineer at InZen Co. Ltd. in South Korea, where he built a network-based intrusion detection system. He received his B.S. and M.S. degree in computer science from KAIST, South Korea in 2004 and 2006, respectively.
