I saw The Last Unicorn as a kid when we rented it at the
library. I forgot about it for a number of years, but was
delighted to remember it again when I watched it at someone's house
while babysitting. I then read the book. I seem to
remember that the book had references which were hard to follow, but
which weren't crucial to the plot. I would love to own the
movie, which has been released in English in the UK but not here in
